  2. Recruits, on the other hand, can only use one recruitment code; no matter what.
  3. Recruitment codes are valid for 120 days after they have been generated.
  4. Depending on the recruit’s email filter settings, it may be necessary for them to allow email messages from @account.square-enix.com.
  5. In the event that two or more friends have been recruited by the player, only the subscription length of the friend with the longest subscription period will be counted. The number of days subscribed will not be a summation from all the friends recruited. Also to be noted that even if two or more friends have been recruited by the player, these rewards will only be awarded once per service account.

In addition to offering a 14-day free trial, ffxiv recruit a friend campaign launched by square-enix aiming at bringing in newcomers, turned out to be a huge success for the software development company.

Hardcore players are offering up gametime and in-game rewards for linking up with recruits and earning them the recruiter bonuses. Some might interpret that the free trials and recruitment features as a sign that the game’s hurting for subscribers.

Still, these are smart promotions strategies for an MMO to have regardless of the state of the game, and we really more of such up-and-coming surprises by the Final Fantasy XIV team.
